Wild Ones: Gestating our Deep Knowing

An inter-generational intentional community rooted in remembering who we are, returning to sacred text and storytelling, reacquainting ourselves with ancient fire, and deepening our connection to Wild Woman, initiations, and the Life/Death/Life cycle.

A Love Note & Invitation

Over the last many months, I have listened to folks express how they desire deeper community—a place to connect with others and contemplate life below and beyond the superficial veneer we have covered most things with in modern society. For some this has meant joining a church to find community. For others, joining a book club or herbalism class. Others yet two-step or queer line dancing.

I honor all the ways you have sought to find kindred humans and community recently. & here is one more place for you to return home:

Wild Ones: Gestating Our Deep Knowing

I offer you a place to join in intentional community rooted in remembering who we are, returning to sacred text and storytelling, reacquainting ourselves with ancient fire, and deepening our connection to nature, cycles, and initiations. Honing our clear sight, far knowing and tuning our ears to hear what is meant for us.

In these tumultuous times, one of the best things we can do is gather. Come home to ourselves. Together. Know ourselves and know each other.

An elder told me recently she learned from one of her elders that a spiritual practice—or anything that deepens our development as humans—often requires you to give of yourself to the point just beyond comfort. That this giving enables you to receive in a deep, full-bodied, and soulful way rather than a superficial fly-by.

This offer, this opportunity will ask some things of you in a time when we are busy, feeling overcommitted, stretched. What we will need from you to strengthen the integrity of our collective space: commitment, putting community time as a non-negotiable on your calendar, vulnerability, sitting with yourself and others even if it might be uncomfortable, reciprocity, flexibility.

As a birthworker, I’ve learned (read: I am cultivating) the practice of being with divine timing. We will honor that time here.

What is the offer?

In-person gatherings where we walk through the stories offered to us in Women Who Run with the Wolves, allowing their medicine to work on us and with us.

Every gathering we will circle around the Fire, bring meaningful objects related to the season and stories, eat and drink nourishing foods and tea, and honor one another with deep listening, open hearts, softs minds, and vibrant spirit.

We will meet every 3-4 weeks for about 2 hours for about 9 months, and we may end our time together with an optional capstone experience in nature (think: trees, bright stars, and fresh air). Please note how we are already weaving in divine timing here—we might not be in charge exactly when or how long.

We begin on November 13th 6pm: come join me in my backyard.

For those further afield, we will hold an online circle. That’s on November 6th timing TBD.

While I am leading the facilitation of our gatherings, I will not be doing this alone. There will be many layers of support for us to hold this space with the grace, ease, and care that’s required. One of these layers of support is our deeply rooted constellation of birthworkers of Doulas of the Tender Flame.

Save your seat by filling out the in-take form below.

With a tight and tender hug,

Katherine

A note on women

We embrace the word woman in this space as a conduit to the archetypal energy of the Wild Woman, the Great Mother, the Crone. In this sense, we are not talking about biology, gender, anatomy, or gender expression. We are speaking of something deep within us all and accessible to all—hospitable to all. And, we are welcome to express when the text smells a little binary for our preference, understanding, or experience.
