Hi there, I’m Katherine.

As a doula, my goal is to offer meaningful and attuned care as you adjust and learn in whatever moment of family-building you find yourself.

Family-building is time of sacred transformation. The path is raw, vulnerable, and unwaveringly human. For me, family-building includes the choice not to have children, loss and bereavement, adoption, and surrogacy, as well as pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey.

I humbly learn something new with every client and get excited to curate a support plan that makes sense personally for every family and individual.

With humility and enthusiasm, I serve my clients in the best way I know how: working together to make meaning of your experience, supporting you to create the most nurturing container possible, and honoring your intensions and decisions. We will adjust along the way and meet the unexpected with heartfelt presence and attention.

Before becoming a doula, I served high school students in boarding schools as a teacher, coach, and dorm parent. This part of my path is important now, as it informs my enthusiasm to offer you gentle education as well as my deep respect and care for life transitions, their complexities, and the importance of wrap-around support.

Some of my core values that influence how I show up are: humility, flexibility, presence, transparency, advocacy, and softness.

When I’m not doula-ing, you can find me:

Spending time with my dog Mr. Jones, training to become a midwife assistant, volunteering as a naturalist at Channel Islands National Park and Marine Sanctuary, playing outside as much as possible, reading, and enjoying time with chosen family.
