Birth Support

Think: Emotional, physical, and educational support for birthing person and anyone else a part of the birth team leading up to and through birth experience.

Expect: two prenatal meetings, phone/text support, birth support, and postpartum follow up sessions

Support: Look & Feel

  • prenatally, we will focus on what feels important to you for birth preparation

  • if you want a birth plan as part of our work together, we’ll include that

  • my approach is intention-focused, encouraging avoiding white-knuckling the journey

  • review comfort measures so that you have a comprehensive view of what’s available to you and whoever else is on your birth support team

  • for your birth, I’ll be on call 24/7 starting at 37 weeks

My Philosophy

I believe that people deserve to be supported emotionally and physically throughout their pregnancy and birth. I also believe that unbiased education allows people to make informed choices and take responsibility for their lives. If parents are well supported and educated on their journey of family-building, I believe they will enter into parenthood–or expand their parenthood–from a place of empowerment and confidence.

Pregnant people have the right to empowered births. To that end, a doula plays an important role on a birthing team: aiding in education and planning during pregnancy  and assisting laboring parents and their support team–and advocating for them when necessary–to have the empowering and satisfying birth experience they deserve.
